Abella Danger

Abella Danger beyond the camera

Books, classic films and Miami life open another window onto Danger’s public personality.

An interest in moral questions

A college philosophy course became an unexpected enthusiasm for Danger. In her X3 conversation she named Aristotle and Michael Sandel among the thinkers who interested her, and discussed why the consequences of an action matter in her approach to ethical questions.

This was more than a passing mention of a favorite subject: she described doing well in class and being invited to tutor. Her legal ambitions remain an ambition in this account, while her interest in studying and debating ideas is something she directly discussed.

A taste for older cinema

Danger credited a cinema-appreciation class with deepening her interest in older films. She singled out Cool Hand Luke and Cinema Paradiso, two very different works that place character and emotional memory at their center.

These favorites add specificity to her description of herself as a film enthusiast. They also connect naturally with a career spent in front of cameras, while showing that her own viewing extends beyond the kinds of productions in which she became known.

Building, travelling and staying connected to home

Away from books and screens, she described working on elaborate Lego sets, including an Eiffel Tower model. Paris was another recurring enthusiasm; Miami remained present through basketball and her support for the Heat.

She also spoke about the possibility of opening a fusion restaurant in Miami. It is a future idea rather than an existing business, but it brings together two interests she expressed clearly: enjoying restaurants and maintaining a connection to her home city.
